Dr. Nicole Herrick is a board-certified cardiologist with subspecialty expertise in women's cardiovascular health and cardio-obstetrics. She completed her cardiovascular disease fellowship at the Universidad de California, San Francisco, where she received the UCSF Graduate Medical Education Excellence and Innovation Award.
Prior to fellowship, she completed a combined Internal Medicine and Pediatrics residency at UC San Diego, serving as Chief Resident. Her clinical and research focus centers on cardiovascular disease in women — with a particular passion for the care of women with heart disease during pregnancy and the postpartum period.
She has been principal investigator on the BRITE-MOM Study, a prospective cohort examining cardiac arrhythmias during pregnancy, funded by the Adult Congenital Heart Association. Her work has been published in JACC, JAHA, and Heart Failure Clinics.

The BRITE-MOM Study &
Cardio-Obstetrics Research
Dr. Herrick has served as principal investigator on the BRITE-MOM Study, a prospective cohort examining cardiac arrhythmias during pregnancy, funded by the Adult Congenital Heart Association. Her ongoing work focuses on arrhythmia risk in women with congenital heart disease during pregnancy and on population-level outcomes using large administrative datasets.
